These long dark nights can be a cosy and comfortable time with evening hours shared with family and friends. But it can also be a time of loneliness and sadness for many people.
Do you remember the hymn with the words 'You in your small corner and I in mine'?
I've sung it since early childhood.
If we all were to make a few extra phone calls, write a few more letters or even send an e-mail or two, these rays of light might together touch other lives and kindle fresh hope in other hearts.
While we are happy and comfortable in our own homes, let us think of those less fortunate and do whatever we can to share our good fortune
