Who said............?

I wonder why Victorian mothers felt the need to dress their boys in

frills and flounces and curl their hair?

Do you think they really longed for a girl?

Patti said...: I don't think it was that they wanted a girl...I think it was just part of the culture of the time. Not sure why they dressed their boys so femininely for the first several years of life. I guess it would an interesting study to find out why they did that.
