Watching over you..

When we are ill it's all too easy to feel sorry for ourselves.
John Donne, the sixteenth century writer and poet would have had every
reason to wallow in self-pity while seriously afflicted,
but instead he wrote 'TheDevotions',
which include this uplifting passage.....
All of mankind is of one author and one volume. When one man dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book but translated into a better language, and every chapter must be so translated.
Some pieces are translated by age, some by sickness, some by war, some by justice. But God's hand is in every translation and His hand shall bind up all of our scattered leaves again for that Library where every book shall lie open to one another.

This is a beautiful piece, June. And the quote from John Donne is one we should all grab hold to. Thanks for sharing this. I know there are many who needed to hear that message.
