Where did Junibears come from?

I suppose it must be obvious really, partly my name with bears added to it.
I spent several years making Teddy Bears and had my own web site. My bears are all over the world. As well as selling them I took part in exchanges and even had my bear on the front page of a copy of Teddy Bears Digest.

They were not for children's play but collector's. Made from the finest English and German mohair, mostly my own designs, not always dressed except perhaps for a hat.
They were all hand stitched which I used to do with a tray of pieces on my lap. Unfortunately arthritis took over my hands so I had to stop sewing.

I still have my favourites, including one made from a friend's old mink jacket! Recycling!
