I found this dancing couple on Google and this collage sort of evolved. When I see it now it looks dark and gloomy to me. Perhaps that's how I was feeling at the time.
I don't know if it's my imagination or what....but as I look at other's collages on many, many blogs, it seems their work is getting darker and darker. I don't mean dark as in graveyards and ghosties and Hallowe'en. It's that time of the year. But darker colours.
I love the deep, rich colours some people can achieve, like very old oil paintings but I'm talking about shades of dark grey and black. There are so many shades of black it's unbelievable. Some I've seen I've had a hard job distinguishing who or what is lurking in the picture. I'd like to hear your thoughts....
It's just me rambling on as usual.
I must tell you, we can laugh now but the other day during the horrendous gales we've had, my daughter was seeing me off and holding the tall side gate for me.
Well the wind took it out of her hands and just squashed me as I was trying to go out.
I almost fell! My watch strap took some of the force and it's a wonder I didn't break my wrist.
I have a large bruise on my wrist, a small one on my forehead and the top of my nose.
So the next time someone tells you they got their black eye from walking into a door, you'd better believe them!!

Ack! Sorry about your accident, June! Glad it wasn't worse. This collage is a gem!

I like this piece too, though it is darker than your usual.
Hope the bruises disappear soon xx
Awww poor you. You should have taken a picture and used it as an avatar. Glad you didn't break anything.
I like your collage. It seems like quiet romance. It's beautiful.
xo
