SoArtful gave us this lovely painting of a cowboy this week,
carrying his saddle on his back, striding across the prairie.
It immediately brought back the memory of the old song
'Ghost Riders in the Sky.'
An old cow poke went ridin' out one dark and windy day,
And on a ridge he rested as he went along his way.
When all at once a mighty herd of red-eyed cows he saw,
Come rushin' through the ragged skies and up a cloudy draw.
I've just layered three photographs to make this collage.

Hi June
I love this overlapping technique you use.
The western theme is romantic and the words of the old cowboys song.

Those three layers make a wonderful composition! I can hear that song in my head now. It's been a long time since I've heard it.
This is beautiful, June!! I remember that song. Our family has gone to a cowboy dinner theatre in Jackson, Wyoming. One of the songs they do is "Ghost Riders in the Sky." I was actually hearing lead singer Bryan singing it in my mind as I read your typed words.
Love,
Patti
Hello, June, I really like what you did with the three cowboy images! And thanks for the backgrounds.
Hi June. I remember that song. Vaughn Monroe sang it, I think. This is gorgeous. I love how you layered your images and it became this lovely art piece. Thanks for being Soartful.
