My Freddie..

I'm not long back from the hospital. I had a long chat with the Staff Nurse and the duty Registrar came to see us and we talked again. No decision of any great import is made over the weekend of course but the Consultant and her team will visit him on Monday and  it's just a case of wait and see.

I hadn't seem him for 9 days and my first thought was 'Oh you look so poorly.....'
He was pleased to see me and I was pleased to find him sitting in a chair as he's been on complete bed rest.

Here's a picture taken this afternoon so you can see for yourselves. That's his niece Jenny with him in the bottom picture.
You can see he's still got his black eye from his fall.

Freddie looks like he's bearing up quite well considering the circumstances. I hope things go well, June, and that you're feeling a bit better too. (And may I say that I adore the beautiful jacket you are wearing in the photo!)

no one looks good in a hospital June! But I will say from my perspective he looks very good for his circumstances, Decent color and expression! Things change so quickly from day to day,,take heart that he might just need time for his body to adjust to the new pacemaker. its great you all got to visit , it must be hard to be so far away, Holding you both in our prayers! Much love

I see that Sherry commented on your jacket and I have to agree with her. As we say here in Oz, you look SWISH!! The jacket is gorgeous.

I was glad to read in the last few lines that Freddie's black eye is from a fall. Because I have urges to punch the Looming Presence at every turn I suspected that you might have caused it (only joking).

Freddie looks frail and thin but alert and he is being cared for and, hopefully, gaining some strength. He is in good hands.

All the best for his recovery, June. Love from Marie.

Thank you for your very kind comments, all of you. Yes Barbara, the jacket is by Indigo Moon and I have several. If you're sitting in a wheelchair at least the top half can look better!!

I stood up when I first arrived to give him a hug as in the picture.
Hugs
June xx

I hope things improve for Freddie this week, June, so sad for you to see him with a real 'shiner!' Don't you look glam in that gorgeous jacket, too!

Wish you both well, take care, June.
