Stanley..

Just received this in my email. Taken yesterday
I think, Stanley in France.
My lovely Son One!

Teesha Moore Challenge..

The Challenge this week on Digitalmania was to design something in the style of Teesha Moore.
Well this lady almost invented Zetti and to try and emulate her style is virtually impossible. And Zetti is not really my 'thing'. You all know I'm mostly into vintage romance and roses and fairy tales. She does fantastic journal pages that are filled with 'clutter' and scribblings. Anyway. I've had a go and posted these two examples of 'my' style of Zetti. I'll post a couple more tomorreow.

I hope you are all enjoying this wonderful weather. It's almost a heatwave here! I think my son is
sending it up from France. Happy day everyone.

Oh I almost forgot, Cindy Adkins has featured me as one of her profiles on her new blog Shabby Chic Girls Club  Thank you so much dear Cindy.

Dezinaworld..Dreamy..

Here are three collages I designed for June at Dezinaworld
If you have time, do pop over and see the lovely work by her design team.
                                                          I really enjoyed making these.

Lacy Lady..

The lady is from a painting by
Sue Halstenberg.
Isn't she just so beautiful?
All the detail in that lace and that hat! Well.......
So I thought she'd look lovely surrounded by butterflies.
All the elements etc. from my stash.

It's Thursday again and the weather is so beautiful, gorgeous blue sky and wall to wall sunshine. So I shall go to Chapel on my scooter as I haven't to pick up ladies today.
Richard came to tidy the garden yesterday and I got him to polish up my scooter, so it looks like new!
I have had so much trouble with the ordering of the other one, with many phone calls and no calls in return, even though they were promised. I am not used to that sort of service so I have asked for my money back. Hmm.... We'll see how long that takes.................
I hope I haven't been caught in a scam, the way they conduct business is definitely shonky.
It would be a lot of money to lose.

Three Muses Challenge.. MOON..

Where else.......?
My collage for the Moon Challenge on Three Muses this week.
Background, altered, by Pat Gamwell.
The dancers I found on Google. I believe they are a stamp.
Thank you for looking. xx

The Wishing Tree..

I wish I had a tree like this in my garden, or even nearby.
What a magical dream to think that you can get a wish granted.
But then I was once told..'Be careful what you wish for........'

Trick or Treat..

Dezinaworld is showing her Trick or Treat Collage papers today on her site. These are a couple of designs I did for her with those sheets. Do click the link and pop over to see what her other
ladies have made for her.

Collage Obsession.. 13..

Collage Obsession's Challenge today is to do something with
the number 13.
I must admit I was stumped. I don't consider 13 an unlucky
number for me. After all I was born in Row 13.
The picture above is a poor one but it is my Sally with my first
Chihuahua, Angel and she was 13 when she died so Sally
grew up with her.
Thanks for looking.xx

Autumn Arch..

Here is an arch I made for the challenge on
                                                                   Nostalgic Collage.
                                                                      The theme is Autumn.

TAW Challenge..Album..

I have posted two pictures for the Take a Word Challenge today.
The top one I made a while ago for my album. It's my precious son.

The bottom one is new and it's my dear mother and her baby brother.
He was killed at 21 on a Minesweeper.
A lovely challenge this week.
Thank you so much for looking.xx

Dreaming of the Sea..

Is she a mermaid who has grown legs so she can stay on land?
Is she dreaming of her lost love?
Has she changed her mind?

The beautiful main image is from a painting by
Masha Kurbatova.(altered).

Have a wonderful Sunday!
Hugs and blessings,

June xxx

SPA Autumn..

Here is my postcard for the Autumn challenge on
Sunday Postcard Art.
I have recently made a bigger collage with the same subject so
this is similar but smaller.

Thanks for looking. xxx

The Foundling or Where do Babies Come From?

Hoo blinkin' ray!!
I've gone through a different server (Firefox) and it worked!

Still in Fairy Mode the picture speaks for itself I think.
The background  is from a picture by Pat Gamwell, much altered.
The lady Googled and her wings from my stash.
Have a happy Saturday. xx

Fly with me..

Well I don't kinow how this will turn out. I am still having problems uploading pictures. I have gone a different route via Picasa again but that's not as easy as it looks. I have had a lovely lady from Holland, Ellie, trying to help me but so far I'm still tearing out my hair! LOL!

This picture I made yestereday while in a Fairy mood. Hope you like her.
Her wings are from Dezinaworld.
Background and elements from an old set in my stash.

Enfant d'Afrique..

Well I've not given up trying (see post below!)
and I've managed to put this pic up from my Picasa Album.
It's been seen before but it's the best I could do! xx

No Pics Today..

I'm afraid there are no pics to see today.
Try as I may, I have been unable to put any pictures on, and believe me I've tried many times!
I don't know if anyone else is having this trouble.
Is it Blogger being naughty again or is it me?
So just a note to let you know I'm still here.

I was in the garden before 6am. It was just breaking light and the sky looked so pretty, with feathery strokes of rose and gold onto the blue.
Overhead streams of geese were winging their way, in several V formations, all talking at once to each other. A great cackling sound filled the air and I thought 'Here is my first piece of Magic for the day!'

Freddie has gone off for his check up again to hospital, worrying as usual whether the hospital car would come and then would it get there on time for his appointment.

I've had a long email from my sister, waxing very lyrical today. She sounded in a good mood....and who could not be on such a lovely Autumn day as this?

I've had a phone call from my son at the airport, having a coffee before boarding their plane for France.
They are both on leave and will have just over a week in their apartment. So Au Revoir to Stanley and Jenny. Stay safe my lovelies!

So sending my love and hugs to all of you,
And stay safe too.

Transport Ephemera.. Dezinaworld..

These are the collages I designed for June at Dezinaworld
She has her Transport Ephemera sheet up today with some very
 interesting pieces on.
The one directly above, I had the good fortune to find a photograph
of the very same car in the advert.  The Royal Tourist
$3,000 was a heck of a lot of money in those days.

Most images Googled.

FREEBIES..

Here are 4 backgrounds I've made for you.
They are owned by me and totally free for you to use.
I hope you may be able to make something with these.
Right click and save as usual.
With love
June xx
PS They are also good as overlays. I've used them that way
this morning.

Free Backgrounds..

Three Muses Challenge..Doorways..

I've gone over to the dark side for this challenge.
I must have been thinking about Hallowe'en or something..

Who would dare to enter this doorway?
What secret beings lie on the other side?
Don't go there......

All images are Googled.
Thank you for looking.xx

Wings and Things..

As you know, I design for Dezinaworld and June has a couple of fantastic sheets up you won't want to miss. They are Transparent Wings and Wingless Ladies. The ladies you can use alone but they are gorgeous with wings added.
The top pic shows two of her ladies and a set of the wings.
The middle pic is a lady I sort of designed myself with a set of wings added.
And the third pic I am back in Fairyland, with one of her ladies and a magical unicorn.
Most of you know I am away with the fairies most of the time!!
Please go and visit June. Her wings especially are unmissable!
You can also see the fantastic pieces her other Team designers have made.

Rain Man..

I found this face and thought it looked interesting
so just had a play with it.

Sometimes things go right and sometimes they don't.
I ordered a new scooter and a 4 wheeled pusher with a seat for Freddie. After waiting a couple of weeks the delivery arrived. The first thing he unpacked was a three wheeled pusher. 'I've already got one of those' I told him. Then it turned out he had brought the wrong scooter.
The poor chap was almost grovelling in his apologies. I laughed and said I'm not going to lead off at you. Mistakes happen and my Granddad always used to say 'Worse  things happen at sea.'
So he turned his truck around and made the 3 1/2 hour journey back home.
Hopefully we'll get the right delivery this week.

New Challenge..

I've made this for a new Challenge started up at Nostalgic Collage.
Only now I realise I should have made a Gothic Arch
and I've made a Flower one.
I promise to do better next time!

Take a Word Challenge..MALE..

When I made this I was thinking of an old boyfriend I had
100 years ago. We were so much in love (at the time!) we used
to meet in the pouring rain with no particular place to go.
This song was popular at the time and we used to sing it together!
He did his National Service in Malaya and I wrote faithfully
for two years.
Ah....romance!!
Sorry I couldn't find who wrote it but my older friends
may remember it.

I just had to put this up again, I made it yonks ago, before I had
Photoshop. It was made with some card programme or other.
Ah..so many lovely men, I knew quite a few! LOL!

Thanks for looking.xx

Under lock and key..

I made this digital collage some time ago.
Although I'm nowhere near as glamorous as these beauties I sometimes feel
like them I'm under lock and key as I'm so restricted as to where I can go.
We used to visit nearby towns for a day out, browsing the shops etc.
and Freddie used to push my wheelchair.
Now he needs a wheelchair himself.....Ho Hum!.....

SPA Pierrot..

The theme this week at Sunday Postcard Art is Pierrot.
Something I don't think  you see much of today but in the
20's and 30's they were very popular,  with fancy dress,
parties, and  posed photos, as above.

So this is my postcard for this week.
Thank you for looking.

HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OF
EACH DAY

Some of us are morning people and tackle our most challenging jobs before noon. I'm a morning person.
As the day wears on I gradually fade away. Figuratively, not literally of course.
Come afternoon there's a definite slump and I'm not at my best.
Other people come to life right in the middle of the afternoon. While others don't seem to want to sleep and create at night
So pace yourself. And don't aim for perfection every minute of every hour.
Get to know your energy levels and don't put off doing things waiting to be 'perfect'.

A wise man once said 'Tackle the important tasks and duties the moment you feel 'good enough'.
Remember, perfection is not possible......
We simply have to do our best.'

Is that not good advice?  And we are ALL good enough!

So here is a collage called Golden Dawn
for all the morning people out there!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

Hugs, Love and Blessings.

Challenge..Nick Bantock inspired..

The Challenge this week on Digitalmania on Flickr was to make
some Mail Art in the style of Nick Bantock.
So here is what I made.
I think the address would have to be written on the backs of the envelopes!

Happy Friday everyone! xx

Wonderful Witches..

A collage I've made with June's new sheet of
Wonderful Witches.
Pop over to
Dezinaworld  to see what her other
designers have made.
Hallowe'en is creeping up on us..... Click here..DEZINAWORLD

The Greenwood Fairy..

Deep in the forest live the Greenwood fairies.
They are so hard to spot as they can change colour at will to
match the surrounding foliage.
You think you see them, then they seem to melt away and
you are left rubbing your eyes and wondering....

Three Muses Challenge..Autumn..

I love the colours of Autumn so I really enjoyed this Challenge.
Above you can see the picture I chose for the background.
I turned it into a Kaleidiscope and the colour was still all there.
(I'm Kaleidoscope Krazy these days!!)

So here is the finished Collage.
Everything was found on Google.
Thank you so much for looking.xx
