From the left.. Betty, a dear friend ready to man the Cake Stall.
Then my daughter Sally and son-in-law John. All ready  to go!

Freddie had to go to hospital so here he is waiting for the car to take him.

And here are the first of the 'guests'!!
We even had four 90 year olds sitting in a row!!

Somebody up there loves me as the weather was brilliant!
Everyone had a lovely time. I wish I had taken a photo of the Cream Teas. They were gorgeous! Beautiful scones made that morning, still warm when they arrived. Real butter, home made raspberry jam, whipped double cream and topped with fresh picked strawberries.
And of course a cup of Tea!
My John has been in the catering trade so knows just how to serve things. He also did the washing up.
Sally was a brilliant waitress, looking gorgeous in a cool maxi dress.
The rest of the family came later plus the children who tucked into cream teas and bowls of strawberries. Ashton had a little friend Charlie and they rushed around when guests had gone, and it was lovely to hear Skyela's laughter coming from the summer house.
My family all helped with the clearing up and everyone had gone by 5.30pm.
I couldn't have done it without them. I am so blessed with my precious family!
We made just over £150 for the Chapel, so satisfying.
I was (and still am) shattered and in pain and I slept till 7.30 am! Unheard of for me.
Thank you all so much my darlings.xxxxxxx

What a lovely garden tea! I'm longing for a scone warm from the oven with a dollop of clotted cream and strawberry jam.

I hope you are soon feeling better.

Best,

Oh my, wish I could have been there with you, June! So glad the weather was nice. I'm sure you are wiped out from such a busy few days. Take time to rest. xx

My goodness, somebody up there likes you, June. I have been reading about the record breaking summer rain all over England but you obviously picked the perfect day for your cake stall. Mmmmm, cream teas. Why didn't you invite me? Love the photos.
I can identify with Freddie's "boot". The Looming Presence here wears one too and his life revolves around visits to hospitals, doctors and podiatrists. Diabetes is a scourge.
