Sad.....

I've just come back from the dentist so only now having a little browse. My dear friend Cheryl sent me this beautiful three dimensional frame card the other day. It's really beautiful!
I went over to her blog and saw she had lost one of her beloved dogs, Rex, a gorgeous West Highland. I know how upset she would be so telephoned her straight away. We both cried together........

When you have pets, they become so much part of the family, like little children. You have them live with you as part of your life for quite a long time and however many pets you've had, losing one doesn't become easier, and you never forget each one, all their little foibles and tricks.
Valentine's day will never be the same for Cheryl again.
My own little Corey has started developing a few little symptoms and I dread it becoming worse and hate to think of that day....you always know when it's time.........

Cheryl's beautiful work and pictures of Rex can be seen on her blog Cheryls Creative Cards

I know ,what you mean,June.
At the moment, the little Chihuahua of my son en daughter in law is very ill.She is 1 1/2 years old, but had many lumps near here little nipples. They hope it's an inflammation, but the fears are, that it's cancer.
I alway refer to my pets as my "hairy children"Lost a couple, in the past and you never get used to the heartache.(hope you understand my English, I left school 42 years ago,)

Big hug from me,
Sarina

Sympathy to your dear friend. We've had the pleasure of loving three wonderful dalmatians. Two of them, Cooper and Argos, are now waiting at The Rainbow Bridge. If your friend is not familiar with The Rainbow Bridge, you might suggest she look it up and find some consolation.

Best,
Bonnie

What a beautiful picture!

I think having more than one dog, different ages, helps at least when it is time for one of them to pass on. Dogs are so loyal, and it is truly so difficult when they get old and ill. Of course, our having four dogs, and our daughter who stays here with her son much of the time having two dogs is a little much! :)

Sad to hear about your friends little dog - we take these little creatures into our lives, and they wind themselves around our hearts.....Our little Lukey is now in his 11th year, and like you, I dread the day......we rescued him 2 years ago, and he has repaid us a thousand-fold. Cheryl is in our thoughts - the pain does eventually give way to happy memories...... Love as Always June
