I wish you...

All that is best
That best I wish you.
Have a wonderful day my dear friends! xx

After digging another enormous hole in the rose bed, Algie had a bath.
What a slippery, wriggling little creature he is when soaped!
I am taking him to Chapel with me this morning.

My dearest GGrandson has an awful croupy sounding cough and in the night was so bad
he couldn't get his breath and was turning all colours.
So my Grandson Richard called out the paramedics who were marvellous.
We are so lucky with them in this area. Real angels of mercy.
So Richard brought him with him yesterday and we spent time doing little sums etc.
and finished up looking at some of my altered books.
These seemed to fascinate him and he told me he liked those books!
Of course I had to find one for him to take home!

June, my only son suffered from chronic croup and the best advice I ever received was simple and effective. A wise doctor told me to turn on the hot taps in a closed bathroom so that the room fills with steam. Sit on a chair with the child on the knee and allow him or her to breathe in the steam. It is like magic. There is instant relief. A preventive measure is to buy a humidifier from the pharmacy, put a couple of drops of eucalyptus oil in the water. The humidifier throws out very fine spray while the child sleeps and it definitely helps keep the croup at bay. The worst weather for croup is when it is cold and the air is dry. Humidity is the answer.
Cheers, Marie.

I love this collage! She must be a gypsy. I've spent the last couple of days coughing, and feel bad for your poor grandson. It isn't fun. Thank goodness for those angels of mercy!
