Romance Challenge..TAW..

Wishing you all a very happy St. Valentine's day.
The Take a Word Challenge this week is Romance.
Very appropriate for the day.
So here is Loves Old Sweet Song, the very essence of Romance.

Today is a day for being. Just Be.
Be with those you love,
Be kind to yourself.
Be quiet and call forth the dream you buried long ago.
The ember still glows in your soul.
See it in your mind, hold it tenderly in your heart.

Do not be a 'would be if I could be'
or  a 'could be if I would be'.
Just be......

So beautiful, June. I remember that very old song which I'm sure was written long before you or I were born. "Just a song at twilight, when the lights are low, and the flickering shadows, softly come and go".
Life has taught me to be cynical but I can still appreciate a lovely tribute to romance!
Happy Valentine's Day. Cheers from Marie.

Wow, June, this is truly a romantic and beautiful art work! I have had so many visitors to my wordpress blog. I feel that they were spinoffs from your blog. So, my dear friend, I thank you for the publicity.

Totally love this one!!! Vintage photos make anything more beautiful!!!

Valentine's Day is basically ignored in our family, as it is sandwiched between daughter's birthday on the 13th and our anniversary on the 15th (yes, it's today...our 25th!!!).

I was rather an idiot to plan a February wedding, as it robbed me of Valentine's Day. If I had it to do over again, I would have had a shorter engagement and gotten married in September of 1985 instead.

Anyhow, love and hugs to you,
Patti
