I have a sort of Love/Hate relationship with this man.
They did their courting here at Burgh Castle and I have photos of them there.
I was also possibly conceived there as I was born 6 months after they married.
He left when I was 7 and came back into my life in my thirties
when I had children of my own.
I hated the way he treated my mother but he was an eternal charmer.....

Oh my. I can't think of any words to write after reading your account. All I can say is, he just didn't realize what good years he missed.
It's interesting how the photo tells it all. The way he looks at the camera and she looks at him...
