Did you know that on the wall at the entrance to the United Nations HQ in New York are engraved these words from the Old Testament.......

'They shall beat their swords into ploughshares and their spears into pruning forks.'

Do you also know that within that great building, teeming with people of all nationalities, is a Meditation Room?
In this room is a plaque with words written by Dag Hammarskjold, the Swedish Internationalist who was Secretary of the United Nations for seven years....

This is a room devoted to peace and to those who are giving their lives for peace.
This is a room of quiet where only thoughts should speak.
