Grandma's Crazy Quilt


I love to see a crazy quilt, all the myriad scraps and colours. What memories do they evoke?
Was this a piece of Auntie Maud's favourite dress? Look! there's a piece of Freda's dress she wore to her first dance.  That piece there was Grandma's best apron......
That was the thought behind this picture.

oh junibear, this is lovely!! it's been a long time since i've seen a crazy quilt...must be that people have so much more money than they used to because the quilts are made up of new pieces. i prefer yours and the memories it evokes :)

Crazy quilts are my favorite also! The tiniest scrap of fabric used again. Plus they are usually the special fabrics saved lovingly with all that stunning embriodery!
