SoArtful Challenge..Medieval..

Good morning dear friends,

I have some company coming today and we are having a picnic

in the garden and they are bringing the picnic!

How lovely is that?

Thank you for the kind comments re my fall. I feel OK but my

back is very stiff and the back of my hand is swelled and bruised.

I'm showing you two pictures today...

The SoArtful Challenge today was to make something that looked medieval.

I didn't use the picture Jeanette gave but Googled these.

I call it a Medieval Dream.The princess is actually a doll! Hope you like it.

A Coat of Many Colours..

I thought her gown looked beautiful with so many rich patterns and colours.

This little girl was on the front cover of a magazine from about 1922.

I thought she was lovely and gave her some playmates..

I had a good day yesterday, I felt well, picked up my ladies to take to Chapel,

did a few jobs and errands, everything was fine until I had a fall in the garden.

Don't ask me to take more water with it please!

It was a hard fall and I have hurt my back and hand.

I think I was lucky not to break my wrist, and my hat saved a bigger crack on the head!

So today I am stiff and very sore and feeling a bit sorry for myself! LOL!

Theme Thursday..

Theme  Thursday's Challenge this week was Pink and Brown.

I Believe in Magic..

Good morning dear friends.

I'm starting the day with pieces of Magic.

Roald Dahl quoted 'Those who don't believe in magic will never find it'.

I'm the greatest believer in magic! In fact when my children were young they used to say I was a witch, but a nice one! I really don't know where they got that from but I used to tell them a lot of magical stories.

Nowadays I look for a piece of magic every day. For instance driving the car I may see a baby rabbit hopping across the road.  A pheasant sitting on a post with the sun showing off his glorious colours.  The other day I saw a mother stoat crossing the road carrying her baby in her mouth. I might come across an unexpected rainbow. A telephone call from an old friend I had just been thinking about. These are all pieces of magic to me.

If you look hard enough and with perhaps a different eye, I'm sure you will find a piece of magic every day too.

Secrets..

How many ladies get to kiss their gardener I wonder? I do!

My gardener came this morning to do his 2 hour stint.

I actually did some baking this morning. I made some sugar free shortcakes for Freddie

 and a sultana cake. My gardener enjoyed some fresh from the oven and a large slice of cake.

 And of course you all know my gardener is my wonderful grandson, Richard.

My dearest son and I had a long chat on the phone too this morning.

How blessed I am!

Give me enough tears to keep me human,

Enough humour to keep me wise.

Enough setbacks to keep me humble,

Enough accomplishments to keep me confident and

Enough patience to teach me waiting.

Enough hope to keep me trusting,

Enough friends to give me love and

Enough memories to give me comfort.
