The Silk Shawl..

Here's 'one I made earlier' as they say! Yesterday in fact. I thought I'd show you where I got the lady wearing the shawl. An old vintage photo. I browse Google for hours looking for old pictures like this that draw my attention. I imagined the shawl to be silk and full of colour so I hope you like my version. Can you see why I am drawn to them? I wonder who they were, what happened in their life, did they have children, does anyone treasure these photos as being their Great Grandmother? Did she lead a flamboyant life as is suggested here? All these things go through my mind as I'm working on these images and I try to bring them back to life a bit.

At the moment Algie is softly crying outside the living room door. The Nurse is here to dress Freddie's foot. They come twice a week for which we are very grateful but it seems my life is never my own. Do you know what I mean? There's always prescriptions to take in or to fetch. So many pills to prepare each day that they craze me. Don't tell me to do a week at a time, that would send me mental completely. Making my pictures keeps me sane...or as sane as I can be......

There.....I've had a good moan..so forgive me......
Wishing you all a lovely day,
                                                                        Hugs

Dear June
Feel free to moan to me any old time! I am blessed to be able to go and walk this magnificent garden any time of the day or night - photographing baby birds or just anything that takes my fancy here - and I know enough never to take this freedom lightly.

I love this familiar vintage photograph and especially how you have altered it. You are so gifted with this art! "True Beauty is a light from within" and this applies to you!

Love The Queen of the Forest too!

So glad to bring a little lightness into your life!Big hugs,
Suzy

You certainly gave her beautiful colors! You do that so well.

I'm so grateful to be able to make digital art, too. It's a few moments distraction from all of problems that plague us every day. Sometimes, though, you just have to have a good moan!!! :^)
