Remembrance..

Tomorrow Remembrance Sunday falls exactly on November 11th.
Remember the eleventh hour, of the eleventh day,
and the eleventh month.
A time for remembering loved ones we have lost in all the conflicts
since the first Great War. The war to end all wars.
Sadly it was not to be.
As we remember them, we give thanks for their courage and sacrifice.
God bless them all and all the serving men and women today
who fight for our freedom.

Great and moving collage June.
Although I am from the Netherlands, I always watch Rembemberance Sunday at the Cenotapf, on the BBC(don't know if this is correct English, last English lesson, 44 years ago, hihi)

X,
Sarina

Indeed, yes, we owe a huge thank you to all the veterans who have served and sacrificed so that we might live in freedom.

As the saying goes, "freedom isn't free." I am grateful for those who paid the price.

Blessings and hugs,
Patti

How great way to tribute to the past brave men, June.
We are celebrating our fathers today.

War is always so horrible and the cost is so great. I'm looking forward to the time when God finally fulfills his promise at Isaiah 2:4 - "And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more."

And a huge AMEN to that Bill.xx

Laurence Binyon's poem is one of my favourites and I get goose bumps when I read it. Thank you for showcasing the poem and enabling me to remember the war dead in such a lovely fashion.xx
