Never look back...
Never look back...
Sometimes I think we spend too much time looking back. What I should have done....if only....what might have been....I just wish....
I am guilty of that too. I think it's just part of the human condition. But we can't change the past...it's gone...done with...leave it behind.
Sometimes things may have happened that hurt so much...or are almost too unthinkable to bear.
Some people may say 'get over it!' But this one comment may hurt even more....
What we must do is put those thoughts into a box. A beautiful hand carved casket with lovely gold corners and fastenings. Lock them in tight and put this box far away in your memory. We know they are still there but they are hidden and can't hurt us any more.
Bring your thoughts back to today and be thankful for the God given gifts we have. We all have so much to be thankful for.....
A little reminder of sweet summer days.
Have a beautiful weekend my friends,
Love and many blessings,
June xxx

First, I love the new header! Second, I LOVE your art piece! Third, what a profound post! Truer words were never writ. Thank you for that gentle reminder we all can use from time to time. Especially this time of year with the holidays. And, with new year too, when we remember things that we don't want to go through again.
You are amazing!!!

Oh my. Such a back! :^) But also such sage advice about not looking back. I need to build a stronger box.
A beautiful, poignant piece, June. You are right, we do have a lot to be thankful for.
Lovely new header and gorgeous piece today!
Your words minded me of something a teacher said once - "you have eyes only at the front - so look forward!"
xx
Eine wunderbare Collage, June, sie führt uns vor Augen, dass alles im Leben vergänglich ist.
