September!..

It's here! September..
A wonderful bright day to start a new month.

Today, like any other, has come and it will pass as quickly  as it arrived.
Each day moves on relentlessly to the next, which is why I would like to share with you these wise words by the writer George William Childs.

Do not keep the alabaster box of your love and friendship sealed up until your friends are dead. Fill their lives with sweetness. Speak approving, cheering words while their ears can hear them, and while their hearts can be thrilled and made happier.
The kind things you mean to say when they are gone, say before they go.

Wishing you all the happiest of Septembers.
Love and Hugs

This was a Challenge on the Flickr group Digitalmania,
to alter a famous painting.
The original was a charcoal sketch.
I painted it with my mouse in Photoshop and this is the finished
result with overlays.
Below is the first tinting.
It's a painting by the Russian Alexei Harlamoff. 1840-1922

June, you did a masterful job with that altering!
Child's words are very true and thanks for reminding us.

Your finished picture is truly wonderful! I don't want to accept it is September, though. Where has summer gone? Oh well. Not a thing we can do about it. The words by Childs are fantastic!
