Three Muses Challenge..HATS..

                                                                    RETRO

.

                                                                          DIOR

I love the occasions when you can wear a hat. In winter it's OK to plonk something on your head to keep out the cold but a wooly hat is hardly glamourous! I have a lambskin hat that I've had for over 30 years.  It looks like a big creamy white powderpuff and when I wear it I feel a bit like Anna Karenina!

I had to make these two pictures for the hat challenge. Both quite simple but I think glamourous. The top one has a gorgeous painting by John Whitcomb and with the background retro pattern were found online. The colour in the background is my own work.

The one below is pure Paris in the 50's. The model and Paris street found online. When I think of hats, these are the kind of thing that come to my mind.

Hope you enjoy and thanks for your visit!

                                                 Love and hugs

Oooooh, the second one is impossible to wear today, isn't it? But it's gorgeous! I love hats a lot, and I often wear one; but often, people look at me... It doesn't matter! :D
Beautiful entries June!

Quelle élégance June ! pas faciles à porter à présent ces chapeaux ! Mais les images sont belles ! Bravo pour la nostalgie d'une autre époque !

I love the IDEA of wearing a hat! Not sure I'd enjoy actually wearing it, though, because it would mess up my hair! LOL...But the thought of hats is SO 1930's/1940's to me, and you know how much I love those decades.

As always, lovely pictures, June.

Love,
Patti

Hello June, I too have a love of hats. The ones you have here are wonderful. I remember in the fifties and sixties when women never ventured out without one. Now that my hair is snowy white and I don't clour it any more I have gone back to hats and scarfs tied around my hair to give me some colour.. just love doing that. xxxx

The ultimate of class! I can picture you wearing either one of them. Long live the hat!

You know, June, you always strike me as being very elegant and I am willing to bet you have worn some very swish hats in your day!! These two pieces are superb.
